This photo was not edited AT ALL! 100% pure natural mother nature at it's best. It was taken at the Marina on the Patrick Air Force base off of Cocoa beach in florida.

Thank you. I really wish I had a DSLR during that time.. I bet it would look twice as good. but I'm still lucky enough to have been there when I was.

I swear that bird spent the entire day stalking me. Earlier I was sitting in a gazebo and it kept moving closer and closer to it staring at me.

Not sure if it was the same one, but I like to believe it was.

oh what a beautiful shot! nice how the heron is standing right where the sun reflected... quick comment though, just touch this up by straightening out the horizon... i cant find the tut for it, but basically use the ruler tool and draw a 'line' along the horizon and rotate the image through image>rotate>arbitrary, and hit enter. it'll only be a degree or two at the most, but it'll make a difference :)

the only reason why i haven't gone back to retouch it is that well I dunno how to do the horizon thing and I don't want to manipulate the photo in anyway. Plus I would have to resubmit the photo.. and wait forever to get it on unseenartists (I've been in the group 2 years and always seem to miss my chance to submit a photo lol)

ah alright... but all you have to do is click 'edit deviation' and it would update your piece without having to resubmit the whole thing... isnt it?

holy ****
i could only dream to take pictured like that..
then again, i don't have a very good camera (1.3MP XP) and i have been hoping to get a new one .
again, i don't have photo editing software.
Nice work anyways...and keep it up!

I started out with a 1.3 mega pixel camra it was like a mega chameleon(sp) those photos are of lake alma (in my gallery that i used the camera for) But I bought a new camera when my now bf was coming up to visit. When upgrading(if not going to a DSLR) try to get a camera that does not take batteries but uses a battery charger. it'll be a good camera to grow with! (I use the 7.2 megapixel sony cybershot, it takes crappy low light photos but it's great everywhere else).

just keep trying and try other angles don't be afriad to roll around on the ground lol. Also adobe can help fix color issues and such.

one problem with that..is that i don't have adobe, and i won't be getting it any time soon,
1) we have already bought the software twice, one time not working on anything, the second time not working on just my computer.
2) siblings won't let me use their computers.
3) i don't have the money myself to get it.

Even so, the above is really great advice, thank you for that.
trust me, i am not that afraid to roll on the ground.
either way, thanks.
-a great fan

well honestly now in days you don't have to pay for a program to get it.

But hey I would use paint shop pro on my computer I would download it well honestly illegally and get almost the full version(no water marking)..but since I plan on doing digital work for a living I have to be able to use adobe. But don't worry about it whenever you can manage it I suggest upgrading to a digital. My digital sucks at night but when i upgrade to a DSLR I am making sure it works at night

yeah just something to help fix the fading and contrast of photos REALLY helps out with a low camera like that. I still use it on mine

Great photo. It's good to hear that it has not been edited. I'm not very keen on the edited photos as they don't look natural to me.
